Facebook and Instagram outage: Widespread disruption affects services

Meta’s platforms experienced a widespread outage, affecting Facebook, Instagram, and Threads. Thousands of users reported issues with logging in or accessing the sites. Around 500,000 Facebook users, 50,000 Instagram users, and 10,000 Facebook Messenger users reported problems. Some users were logged out of their Facebook accounts, while others received error messages on Instagram. Threads, Meta’s competitor to Elon Musk’s X, also experienced issues. Meta acknowledged the disruption and stated that they were working on resolving the problem. Further updates on the situation are still pending.
