Google to relaunch tool for creating AI-generated images of people after pulling service due to inaccuracies

Google is set to reintroduce its AI image generation tool, Imagen 3, after pulling a previous version in February due to controversies. The updated tool will allow Gemini users to create AI photos of people. The company has made technical improvements and conducted red-teaming exercises to enhance the product. Imagen 3, however, will not support the generation of photorealistic identifiable individuals, minor depictions, or excessively violent, gory, or sexual scenes. Google aims to roll out the tool gradually, incorporating user feedback and expanding it to more users and languages.
